Traditional Tips
Here are some useful guidelines for traditional services.
- Use care in checking proportions for enlargement.
- Consider Ilfochrome direct imaging from slides and transparencies.
- Ektacolor materials can last over a hundred years if finished
and displayed correctly..
- Black and White materials are somewhat sensitive to environmental
contaminants: metallic silver can be oxidized so overlaminates
are a good idea.
- Rollable mounting solutions should be rolled and stored in as
large a diameter as possible..
- Direct enlarging is usually preferable to scanning and digital
printing in terms of quality.
